Some Muskoka Style Log Carving....this place was amazing!!!

July 24th 2011 027

We just got home from another amazing weekend up at the cottage...but this time we stopped at this amazing Chainsaw Wood Carving Studio that highlights the work of 12 Muskoka based Artists....it was so much fun to walk around and see all this cool art...all created with a chainsaw!!!! I tried this once at my Dad's place with a huge chainsaw...and the piece is out in one of my gardens...but my next wish list item is a small easy to handle chainsaw....and then I will be having some fun with wood stumps!!! lol...

So here is a little glimpse of the amazing work.....

Hi Diana,

How wonderful ~ I love all the Art especially the sweet little bear.
The photo of Cole alongside the carvings is lovely.
A lot of inspiration for when you get your smaller chainsaw.

Happy week

these are fantastic! my husband is a tree surgeon and has just recently started woodturning small carvings and stuff-maybe soon he'll be able to move on to stuff this big (we may need a bigger yard!) your little boy is just adorable, btw!
