Paint Party Friday....going black and white....

Hi Everyone....

I am thrilled you popped in to see me today....I have been busy this week with all sorts of projects....I am currently working a lot in black and white and was inspired to create this piece....inspired by one of my favorite herbs in the garden...one that you never have to replant because every year it sows itself....for the next year....I get it throughout my whole garden and before I till and plant everything else....I wait till it is big enough for me to pick and I freeze it for use in all of my favorite dishes.....

do you know what this herb is?

I am sharing this piece with all of my talented friends over at Paint Party Friday...

I really have no idea where the entire week went....but it was a wonderful and creative week....

Happy Friday and Happy Creating.....

Hi Diana. What a great idea. B/W for PPF. Excellent work. I do believe it's Dill. I have that in my garden. Love it and use it. Nice work. Happy PPF!

That is a beautiful black and white painting! Love this. I do not know what it is because I hate to admit I am not the best cook. But I am going to start!

I'm clueless as to what it is. But I love how it looks in black and white. :)

Is it Dill
I know this week went so fast for me too. Lots of fun this last weekend for me and I am now back in the swing of the painting again after a weekend break.
I like black and white too. It is so minimalist - which I like it feels so clean and direct ...you wouldn't know it by my thick textured paintings would you

this is gorgeous. is it a painting on canvas or a digital piece that looks like canvas? the lines are so perfectly defined and clear that i just wondered-if its hand painted you have an incredibly steady hand! anyway, its a stunning piece even though i'm pretty clueless about herbs!

Beautiful black and white image, love the silhouette of dill!

Is this really called "Dill" in English, too? How funny, as it's the same word in German. Happy PPF and great work in b/w!

I do not know the name of the plant, but it is the same that I painted last week on green and yellow spots. I like your composition in black and white.

I thought it was maybe parsley, allowed to bloom so it would reseed. But now, I think I'll agree with the others about it being dill! Whatever it is, it's beautiful and SO dramatic in black and white!

Soft and fluffy Dill perfectly captured!

This would make a great print on notebooks and things. Gorgeous.

This looks fantastic! I love contrasting as it is anyway. And I can't tell a weed from a flower so no guesses from me. :)
